Avocado Chocolate Mousse

This creamy avocado chocolate mousse is a must-try for all chocolate lovers! It comes along with a soft, creamy texture and a deep satisfying chocolate flavor. Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 2 peeled, frozen bananas
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp dark almond butter + 2 tsp for garnish (or cashew butter)
  • 1 dash of sea salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 30 g (1.2 oz) raw cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 50 ml (0.2 cup) Espresso (optional)
  • 30-40 g (1.4 oz) pomegranate seeds
  • Optional: 1-2 tsp hulled hemp seeds  and 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Optional: Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions (Freeze 2 bananas overnight + 15 minutes preparation time)

  1. Peel 2 bananas, cut them into cubes and freeze them in a container or bag overnight.
  2. Half an avocado, remove the stone, scoop out the flesh with a spoon and put it into your blender. Add the frozen banana cubes, 1 tbsp of lemon juice, 2 tbsp of dark almond butter, a dash of sea salt, 1 tsp cinnamon, the raw cocoa, 2 tbsp of agave syrup (or maple syrup) and 50 ml Espresso. Blend all the ingredients to a smooth cream.
  3. Put the chocolate mousse into two bowls, drizzle with some more nut butter and garnish this delish dessert with pomegranate seeds, hulled hemp seeds, chia seeds and mint leaves to your liking. Serve and enjoy this sweet chocolate goodness. Looking forward to your feedback, xoxoxo Lea
